Each uniform brand has a specific sizing chart. In order to utilize these charts it is important that you measure your child accurately. The diagrams below demonstrate where the tape measure should be placed for accuracy.
Girls
Inseam
The measurement from the crotch on the inner leg to the end of the leg.
Outseam
The measurement from the hip on the outer leg to the end of the leg.
Finished Length
This measurement is used for drop waist jumpers, jumpers with bibs and skirts. For drop waist jumpers measure from the bone in the neck to the center of the back to the desired jumper length. For jumpers with bibs and skirts measure from the waist in the center back to the desired length.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips, generally 7 to 9 inches below to waist.
Waist
Measure around the natural waistline.
Bust
Measure across the full bust, under the arms and around the back.
Boys
Inseam
Measure from the crotch inside the leg to the end of the leg.
Upper Arm
Measure horizontally around the arm while relaxed between the shoulder and the elbow
Neck
Measure around the neck at the Adam's Apple and add 1/2 inch.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips.
Waist
Measure around natural waistline where pants would normally sit.
